The artwork situated in the centre of Sunniside Gardens is shaped like the hull of a ship to celebrate the history of the regenerated area of Sunderland's old heart, where the shipyard owners used to live. The tallest arc stretches 23ft into the air intersected with dichroic glass the glass ribs that change colour with the reflection of the sun, shadows or when looked at from different angles.

How does this art make you feel?
It looks right in this setting. I think this bit is really peaceful. It's a relaxing place, especially at dusk, this looks really pretty then. It's nice to look at as you're walking past.
