Sunderland has always been a city of iconic structures and images, with Hylton Castle, Penshaw Monument, the Wearmouth and Queen Alexandra Bridges and the Sunderland Empire held in high regard by the city’s residents.  Many of those features are celebrated in an artwork by local artist Paul who worked with residents at the Art Studio to create images and poetry that have totally transformed the old Fire Station.
